Recently, I was sitting with a client — we’ll call her Amanda — when the topic of sales funnels came up.
Here’s how it happened: I mentioned something about a sales funnel and Amanda looked at me as though I’d just stood on my head whilst singing the alphabet.
“What’s a sales funnel?” Amanda asked cautiously.
While the sales funnel is a common marketing strategy (with a ton of great examples out there!), it’s not totally uncommon for brand new entrepreneurs to have Amanda’s reaction. When I was first starting out, I have to admit I wasn’t familiar with the term either… And it sounded nebulous to me, too.
