Additional Information and an Opportunity to Comment on the FCC Form 470 Drop-down Options for Category One Services

On October 1, the FCC issued guidance in the form of a letter to USAC (DA 19-985 ) on how to treat E-rate applications for which the applicant mistakenly selected a drop-down menu option on its FCC Form 470 that did not fully reflect the services for which it intended to seek bids. On the same day, the FCC also issued a Public Notice (DA 19-986 ) seeking comment on improving the FCC Form 470 drop-down menu options to alleviate ongoing confusion.

Comments on the Public Notice are due on or before October 31, 2019. Reply comments are due on or before November 15, 2019. For information on how to submit comments and reply comments, you can refer to the Public Notice.
